Little Women

“It’s nice to have accomplishments, and be elegant, but not to show off, or get perked up - said Amy.” ― Louisa May Alcott
Once Jo begins talking to the Laurence boy, she is more attracted to his personality and is fascinated by the things he knows, such as two languages. This is because his mother spoke French and his father English, although both died and he is currently living with his grandfather, whose house is next to the March girls'.
Talking more about his relationship with Jo, it is known that the latter tries to get closer to him after the dance. So one day seeing Laurence's window, she notices how lonely Laurie (as Jo knows him) was and she decides to go out and talk to him. To do this she threw snowballs at his window, and they began to talk. Then Jo is invited in so that he can show her the whole house. After some time, he leaves her alone in the library and she accidentally meets Mr. Laurence.
Thereafter, the most beautiful thing that has caught my attention from what I have read is how the relationship between the March family and the Laurence family has been developed, since even Mr. Laurence becomes someone close to the girls. In fact, there is a very touching part in which Beth, who was extremely shy at first with Laurie's grandfather, gives him some pants made by her, and he in turn gives her his granddaughter's piano, being a precious possession as it belonged to his granddaughter who died years ago. Moreover, I must mention that I feel identified with Beth because she is shy, but she cares a lot about others.

On the other hand, as far as I have read, Meg has gone to spend a luxury weekend with her friends, which has made her change by wanting to have more things. Till at one of the given parties, Laurie arrives at the invitation of Meg's friends and she feels ashamed for her behavior.
