“You have no faith. You do not trust the gods.”
First of all, I would like to mention that this report will be replete with events that were omitted in the movie, so, if you have watched the movie, but have not read the book, enjoy it.
Returning to the story, our main characters were leaving the camp. Percy and his friends, in their very first day outside, were almost killed by three monsters with wings, letting our heroes without any supplies or transport. Later that night, Hades appeared in Percy’s dreams, trying to persuade him and obtain Zeus’ thunder. After being helped by a poodle, in a road warehouse, Percy, Elizabeth, and Groover bumped into Medusa, who also tried to kill them, and surprisingly, they managed to take her head off.
Later this event, Percy’s crew tried to contact Chiron through a rainbow. Next, the main characters arrived in Washington safely, but it was too easy, as well as calmly. For this reason, and as it was expected, they found problems there. At a high building and after having split up, an enormous Chimera and its owner attacked Percy, thus, he jumped from the 40th floor, reaching a lagoon without any injury, contrarily, it healed him.
Furthermore, they succeed in their withdrawal. Hungry and moneyless, they sat at a gleaming chrome diner where they met Ares, the god of war, who handed them a tricky quest that they could not refuse. This was a god’s trap, designed specifically to catch Ares and Aphrodite... Exactly, it was her husband’s (Hephaestus) trap. Would our heroes escape from this mortal request?
To finish this report, I need to add, these events were narrated in a way that makes you want to keep reading it, and if they had been added to the movie, they would have been mind-blowing.
